Honored Veterans

Enjoying a day of golf and raising much-needed funds for worthy veterans' causes is only part of the Golden Kielbasa heritage. Beginning in 2011, the tournament started a tradition of honoring Connecticut war veterans - usually with a connection to the New Britain/Central Connecticut community wherein the spirit of the event is centered. One year it might be a member or two (or more!) of the Greatest Generation. The next it might be a youngster wounded during a more modern conflict, whose life was forever changed because of the tumultuous experience of war in a faraway land.

Regardless of age, generation, branch of service or conflict, they all have at least one thing in common - an unwavering commitment to protect the liberties we enjoy as Americans, and to leave a legacy of honor and service for future generations to follow.

The Golden Kielbasa Veterans Open is proud to salute these quiet heroes in its own small way. We invite you to click the links below to read about our esteemed GK Honored Veterans.
